The Hilton New Orleans/St. Charles Avenue hotel is located in the heart of the New Orleans Central Business District, three blocks off Canal Street and blocks from the world famous French Quarter and Bourbon Street. This landmark building was originally built in 1926 as the Masonic Temple and was the second high-rise to be built in the Central Business District.

The Hilton New Orleans/St Charles Avenue hotel completed an $11 million renovation in 2007 and has re-emerged as the newest upscale, premier hotel experience in the Crescent City. Part of this renovation included designing and installing an on-premise laundry that could process the linen for the 250 room luxury hotel

The management company of the hotel, Dimension Development Company of Natchitoches, LA, chose Pellerin Laundry Machinery Sales Company to design and install their laundry equipment needs. “We have been working with Scott McClure of Pellerin Laundry for about 10 years now. They supply a quality product and offer superior service to our hotels throughout the United States” says Shirley Walker of Dimension Development Company.

The equipment at the Hilton St. Charles includes (3) Milnor 42026V6J 140 lb. Washer Extractors, (3) Milnor MLG-175 170 lb. gas dryers, (1) Chicago Tri-Star 28PCS Ironer Folder and Stacker, (1) Milnor MLF-2020 Lint Collection System, Ingersoll-Rand 7.5 H.P. Air Compressor System, Fulton 20 H.P. Boiler System and various carts and shelving.

The laundry is located in the hotel’s basement level and some of the laundry equipment had to be disassembled and reassembled by Pellerin in order to be rigged through an access hatch located at the rear of the hotel. “Pellerin Laundry was very instrumental in helping
us find a way to actually get the large commercial equipment into the laundry area. They were also very knowledgeable about their equipment’s utility requirements and were able to instruct our contractors on how to connect all utilities and ductwork to the laundry equipment” says Eric Arender, Vice-President of Construction for Dimension Development Company.
