"I am thrilled I decided to go with Pellerin Milnor machinery, and every new salesperson I met made it clear that I needed to go with Pellerin Laundry.”
Blount Linen Services: Small Town “Wrangles” Big Poundage

In 2007, former broiler producer and convenience store owner Trent Martin decided to open a commercial laundry plant. He saw an opportunity to pursue his plan by converting the vacant 65,000 square foot Wrangler denim processing plant into the present Blount Linen Services. Trent and Angie Martin reached out to other laundry industry insiders for advice and guidance on how to facilitate this idea. They were referred to Milnor’s President Jim Pellerin and in less than one week, Scott McClure and Alabama salesperson Kevin Stanley of Pellerin Laundry Machinery were on-site to discuss the project.

Being a newcomer to the laundry industry, Trent Martin relied on the expertise of Pellerin Laundry’s Kevin Stanley. Mr. Martin was able to incorporate the finest quality machinery into his ideal laundry plant. This four million pound plant is well-designed and spacious, with a vision to expand when necessary. Currently, BLS services luxury resorts across Central Alabama.

Blount Linen Services was awarded the opportunity to service these PCH Management properties because of high quality washing, superior customer service, and customized linen packaging. BLS processes a variety of quality linens, including: luxurious terry towels, 300 thread count+ sheets, tablecloths, heavy terry robes and much more.

Martin confessed, “I am thrilled I decided to go with Pellerin Milnor machinery, and every new salesperson I met made it clear that I needed to go with Pellerin Laundry.” He continued, “I’m tickled pink with the equipment, I haven’t had any problems with the Milnors.”

With the Milnor 76039 CBW® 8-module tunnel washer, an MP1604 50 bar single-stage press, and three 64058 TG1 natural gas pass-through dryers, Martin’s facility can process approximately seven million pounds of linen per year. His customers include three Robert Trent Jones luxury golf resort properties throughout Central and Northern Alabama, among
others. The plant also includes: one 30022 V6J (60 lb. capacity) rigid-mount washer-extractor, one 30022 X8W (60 lb. capacity) suspended washer-extractor, two 42026 V6J (140 lb. capacity) washer-extractors, one M82 (80 lb. capacity) natural gas dryer, and two M175 (170 lb. capacity) natural gas dryers. Recently, Blount Linen Services has installed a barrier wall to also process healthcare linens—positioning the plant to be an excellent laundry solution for regional hospitals.

Since Blount Linen Services has opened, the neighborhood surrounding the plant has seen revitalization. Most of the neighbors were employed by Wrangler before the plant closing, and a lot are now working at BLS with the Martin family. Like Pellerin Milnor Corporation and Pellerin Laundry Machinery Sales Company, Blount Linen Services is a family business. Trent’s children Aaron and Meagan feed the Chicago ironers and move laundry carts after school. Between loads, Trent Martin has welcomed daughter Megan’s majorette team to practice where their future Milnor machinery will be installed!
